This past weekend we took some time to explore an area downtown! Things have been quite busy with Mike's job and graduate school studies. Plus, I commute three hours a day for work. So we enjoy the weekends and try to find lots of time to relax and enjoy some time at home. But we're also trying to get out and explore our new locale, and on Saturday we spent some time wandering around a neat street with artsy shops and little cafes. There are a ton of interesting places down there, so we definitely want to head back again soon to check out some more establishments!
This time, we went explored a really neat shop full of unique items made from recycled and repurposed things! We also found a neat independent book store where I bought some new notecards and another used book shop that we enjoyed wandering through. We love the smell of books and exploring the shelves of jumbled used paperbacks. For lunch we found a sweet cafe with crepes!! They were delicious, we'll definitely have to go back.
